What is Classical Hatha Yoga?
Hatha Yoga stems from a deep understanding of the mechanics of the body, and uses yogic postures, or yogasanas, to enable the system to sustain higher levels of energy. By practicing this profound science, one can change and enhance the way one thinks, feels, and experiences life.
LA Hatha Yoga offers programs as a comprehensive set of yogasanas which require no special physical agility or previous experience of yoga. It is a very subtle process of changing the energy in the system, which in turn straightens out physical and mental imbalances.
At LA Hatha Yoga, Hatha Yoga is imparted not as a physical exercise, but in its full depth and dimension, enabling a person in the most fundamental way, to flower into his/her ultimate potential.
The programs are an extensive exploration of hatha yoga and revive various dimensions of this ancient science that are largely absent in the world today.
These practices have been selected and designed by Sadhguru, founder of Isha Hatha Yoga School and Isha Foundation, to develop mental clarity and focus, boost vigor and vitality, balance body chemistry, and take years off the body, bringing a sense of lightness and freedom.
Hatha yoga is currently taught in 5 different modules: Isha Upa-Yoga, Angamardana, Surya Kriya, Yogasanas and Bhuta Shuddhi.
The programs are conducted by highly trained teacher from Isha Hatha Yoga School founded by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and are not taught merely for physical fitness and strength.
